A PA System (also known as Public address system) is an audio system comprised of an amplifier, mixer, and loudspeakers to properly carry out a specific sound source.

History

The Ghostbusters integrated a PA system inside the Statue of Liberty to broadcast Howard Huntsberry's cover of the Jackie Wilson song "Higher and Higher" to draw out a reaction from the positively charged Psychomagnotheric Slime and utilize the Statue to break into the Manhattan Museum of Art. Peter Venkman was given a microphone and acted like a TV host and radio DJ.
